Windows will warn you, and that is expected. You will see
"Windows protected your PC". This installer is not code-signed — a
signing certificate costs a few hundred dollars a year and this is a free app.
Click More info, then Run anyway. If you would rather not, that is
a completely reasonable call.
What you get
11 effects on one rack — gate, EQ, compressor, de-esser, saturation, doubler, chorus, flanger, stereo width, echo, reverb. Two tuned vocal presets, Joseph Rock and Joseph Pop; it opens ready on Rock.
What it needs
Any Windows PC and any mic or interface. It installs for you only, into your own folder — no administrator prompt, nothing touched system-wide.
Installing
- Run the installer
- Click past the SmartScreen warning
- It lands on your Desktop
- Audio stays off until you press the big KARAOKE switch
Licence
GPLv3. The full source ships inside the install as
PaperStKaraoke-v1.1-SOURCE.zip — not a written offer,
the actual source, next to the program.
Feedback back to us. It has been measured to death and heard by almost
